Dear Friends,
The last voyage of PASSION
Year 2000 just ended
last week at PAROS in the Cyclades. There was 35 knots of wind from behind
pushing us in the narrow straights between Paros and Antiparos. The crew
that had enough of swim, sun and wind was playing cards around the table.
It is important to notice that a well managed
sailing cruise has nothing to do with public average imagination. No need
to be a rude sailor and fight Mother Nature; New technologies have
given us easy tools to play with; hiring a true professional that manages
the itinerary, the crew and the weather gives also a total security.
Thanks to our Friends Canadian, Irish, Belgian,
American, French, who sailed with us this year; Thanks to the professional
skippers Frank, Ito, Francois who never failed;
Year 2 K was a great year indeed!

NEW HORIZONS DISCOVERY
A sailing cruise is also land discovery.
Here, the Meteores from the islands Sporades.
September 2000 with Jacques.
SPORADES:
SKOPELOS. Off the beaten tracks
destination, green landscape, turquoise waters, short distances... Easy
navigation for all.
OTHER Y.2000 TOPICS
Great feelings when sailing at high speed
with autopilot on this BAHIA 47 in Turkey. Michel and his family were beating
records while Eric, 5 years old, was playing his LEGO on the table...
Our other friends from Belgium took also
this option (ANTIGUA 37) in the DODECANESE.
Their young kids took advantage of the
space and the balance.
The catamarans are the most adapted yachts
to the majority of demands. Unfortunately most of the people don't know
their advantages; there are also few of them on the market.
Patrick and his friends ,for their first
nautical experience, enjoyed a good GIB SEA 52'. They discovered the DODECANESE
in total security and comfort. Ito, their around-the-word Italian skipper
even cooked them spagettis, they said.
Christian decided to reach ATHENS from
RHODES against the wind in less than a week. This was a cruise and not
a delivery! They seemed to have a great time. All of them are good
sailors I bet. No professional skipper required.
The Cyclades in October:
Our Canadian friends sailed to Siros, Tinos,
Mykonos, Amorgos, Santorini, Ios... late in the season. I must say that
October is my favorite season. Some days were hot, some a bit cloudy, but
we took advantage of them all. I even discovered the inside of TINOS that
ignored before. My advise: don't hesitate and rent a vehicle when passing
by the Islands.
The new marina at MYKONOS is not finished,
but good enough to allow the skipper to leave the boat, and join the company
to the night club. Good improvement.
SANTORINI doen't give this chance, but
it is worthwhile to sail in the biggest caldera in the world.
American family meeting on
"ESPEROS"
in June. Christos and his crew did well:
"We are happy to report the trip went very well.
Christos his wife and crew were delightful and
helpful throughout the trip.
Christos went out of his way on several occasions
to help direct us to places to see while on the trip... We would highly
recommend Christos and the Espero's to anyone.
We have enjoyed working with you and will
also highly recommend you to friends
Sincerely"
Sailing in a cave? ... No, we dropped the
tender in the water for the opportunity. The picture on the right is taken
at night under the stars.
Many other stories were told to us after
the trips. The more we listen to them, the more we love our job.
Thanks for all and see you soon on
our blue
waves!
Yann and Servanne
