Anne Marie proved again that one
does not need to wear a beard and swear to be a top skipper. She
combined professionalism, experience, patience and all time availability
to be recognized as a top skipper. Dead calms on 'FOLEGANDROS ISLAND'
with Florence and her family, active sailing on 'SOPHIA' with Bernard,
Bernard and their wives.
Dominique
started from KOS to cross
the whole Aegean sea with Francois. It is a unique experience to start
from Minor Asia and end the other side of the sea at Athens. Sailing through
the South Cyclades by Astypalia, Amorgos, Koufonisi, Antiparos, Santorini,
Folegandros ... is a real adventure out of the beaten tracks. Congratulation
to the crew of 'Tramontana'. Thanks to Francois the skipper too.

The
yachts PASSION crossed each other many times
last summer; it was great fun to meet others at KITHNOS
(above) and SERIFOS with
Francois and Anne Marie and share various experiences of three yachts.
Francois
told us his navigation from Kos to Athens, Athens
to Paros, then Paros to Athens
alone to leave his guests at Paros
as planned. Quite an itinerary in a few weeks.
Here,
thomas collected a wonderful seastar. The beauty returned to nature after
being a real Star in our world. His hands being free, he was able to enjoy
some steering..

Jacques and
Renate came as every year with their friends. The
Dodecanese islands are so various that one come
back several times without visiting the same spots. Suzanne
and Jose were surprised about
that.
Danny
and his friends left their YORKSHIRE to attempt a
sailing cruise in Greece. All went very well, even this day when the wind
being unfriendly, we decided to visit another continent. The day after
we were with the camels in BODRUM,
TURKEY for the week-end.
Amazing
contrast that helped us to forget the paper work.
At
last, to close the season, Ken and Cindy
against all negative advises to leave their country, flew out of the US
and enjoyed a very peaceful cruise on a comfortable CATAMARAN. Ester was
as always 'the best in the east' in cooking, sailing, swimming, provisioning...
We
have been offered a sight and sound at TILOS when mooring at the foot of
a medieval castle by the town hall; it was magic just for us.
Many
others that I don't forget, have sailed this year
with us. I just dont want
this report to be too long.
Steven,
Patrick, Fred, Daniel, Alan, Jean, Rob, Paule, Cyril, Myriam, Raoul, Dimitri,
Marie Laurence, Annie, Florence... without naming
everybody, I would like to assure them that each person counts for us as
much as the success of each cruise.
The
sailing season 2002
has started well with
some reservations and many projects .
Concerning
cruising in the Aegean Sea, I guarantee cool times by a total lack of bad
news.The rest is professional stuff.
See
you soon!
All
the best
